Two people were injured when a wall collapsed at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.
The incident took place after the ticket sales for World Cup matches started at the Stadium. A 23-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were injured and have been admitted to a hospital.
As the crowd grew in, some of them leaned on to the compound wall resulting in its collapse. The stadium officials said that the compound wall that collapsed was freshly cemented as a part of the renovation process for the World Cup.
