Mamata Maben and Mithali Raj have been retained captain and vice-captain respectively of the
Indian women's cricket team for their upcoming one-day series against Australia, beginning December 6.
Announcing the team, Women's Cricket Association of India's Honorary Secretary Shubhangi Kulkarni, said that the team was selected after the Inter Zonal Rani Jhansi Tournament which concluded at Surat on November 10.
Australia will be playing seven match in the series with the opening encounter scheduled at Mysore on December 11. The other one-day ties will be played at Mysore (Dec 13), Mumbai
(Dec 16), Vapi (Dec 19), Ahmedabad (Dec 22), Aurangabad (Dec 24) and Chennai (Dec 28).
The Australian squad will begin its campaign with a warm-up match against India 'A' at Mysore on Dec 9, the team for which was also announced.
