"I am a man on a mission," cricketer Irfan Pathan said on Monday.

"I will make a comback to the national side in the next 4-5 months," he told rediff.com on the sidelines of launch of cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle's book titled The Winning Way.

Responding to a query on how he would fulfil his fans' expectations, Irfan said he was fully fit and raring to go but rued the fact that there were no domestic matches to be played in the next few months.

"I can guarentee that I am ready for international cricket. My target was to play the ODIs against England. Test cricket will come with time as well. However,

there are hardly any domestic matches being played in the next few months where I could have grabbed the attention of the national selectors. The more matches the better it would be for me," he said.

"I want to play any form of cricket, anywhere, and I am goint to contact the BCCI to seek their permission to play. But I am looking to make a comback to international cricket in the next 4 to 5 months," he added.

Thanking his fans, he said: "When I travel, they always respect me and ask me when I would make a comback. My message to my fans is to make sure that you never give up; never doubt yourself. First of all you need to do what can do with your life. Keep that belief in yourself."
