Dismissing media reports that their participation in IPL-IV was doubtful, Rajasthan Royals confirmed that they will be part of the mega Twenty20 event next year.
"We would like to state that this report is absolutely baseless and highly defamatory and damaging. There is no move or information from the BCCI or any authority which would suggest anything to this effect," a statement by the franchise said.
The inaugural champions also rubbished reports that their shareholding pattern has changed and the same has not been registered with the BCCI.
"The ownership structure of RR that was communicated in our bid submission to IPL - BCCI in Jan 2008 did not change until the much publicised new investment by Raj Kundra's family in February 2009, which was also communicated to the IPL-BCCI and the relevant authorities.
"We have always kept IPL, BCCI and their nominated representatives continually informed of our ownership structure at all times since inception of IPL in 2008 and subsequently in 2009 and 2010," the statement read.
