Promising Delhi batsman Unmukt Chand will lead the India Under-19 cricket team on the upcoming Australian tour during which it will play in a quadrangular one-day tournament, starting April 5.
Akshdeep Nath of Uttar Pradesh will be his deputy in the 16-member squad.
Chand, who plays for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, has scored 644 runs in eight First Class matches at an average of 53.66.
Besides India and Australia, England and New Zealand are the other teams participating.
The tournament kicks off with Australia taking on England on the opening day, and India playing New Zealand the following day.
The semi-finals are on April 13 and the final on April 15
The squad was picked by the All India Junior Selection Committee in its meeting on March 22.
