Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday reached out to all the countrymen with a message that Indian cricket team's World Cup triumph may serve as an inspiration to pursue their dreams with perseverance.
"Lets hope this Team India achievement inspires every one to believe in their dreams n abilities ... and to put in the hard work necessary to chase and achieve their dreams," he wrote on his Twitter page.
"Thanks for all your support, love and prayers which helped us win the World Cup. It's such a great feeling to become the World Champions n fulfill a long cherished dream," he wrote.
Tendulkar, the most prolific run-getter in both Tests and ODIs, fulfilled his dream of winning the World Cup when India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the summit clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.
