- The second wicket partnership of 85 runs between Shahriar Nafees and Aftab Ahmed is Bangladesh's best for this wicket against West Indies, expunging the 51-run partnership between Shahriar Hossain and Habibul Bashar at Dhaka on 08-10-1999.
- Habibul Bashar registered a golden duck - his second duck in successive innings. In the opening encounter of this year's edition he had recorded a second ball duck against Sri Lanka. It was his fourth duck against West Indies and 16th of his ODI career. His scores in 8 innings against West Indies make an interesting reading: 25, 0, 2, 0, 0, 2, 42 and 0.
- Bashar's duck-percentage of 19.04 is the fourth highest for any batsman, who has played at least 50 innings. However Bashar's percentage is the highest among the specialist batsmen.
