Century and fifty in debut Test

Alastair Cook on Friday became the 16th batsman from England to score a century on Test debut.

What is remarkable with Cook's performance is that he had also made 60 in the first innings.

There have been only 12 previous instances of a batsman scoring a century and a fifty in his debut Test.

West Indian Lawrence Rowe and Pakistan's Yasir Hameed have in fact scored a century in both innings of debut Test.
