Sri Lanka's selectors left out batsman Thilina Kandamby, the vice-captain in the one-day international series against England, from the pool of 20 players for next month's ODI and Twenty20 home series against Australia.
The 29-year-old scored just 36 runs from four ODIs against England and was dropped for the last match, which Sri Lanka lost to surrender the series 3-2.
Fast bowler Dilhara Fernando, who suffered an injury during the third Test against England at the Rose Bowl, and subsequently missed the ODI series, was also left out of the squad.
Leg-spinner Malinga Bandara and batsman Chamara Kapugedera were recalled.
Off-spinner Sachitra Senanayake is the only uncapped player in the 20-man squad.
The selectors also retained Tillakaratne Dilshan as captain for Australia's tour, which includes five ODIs, two Twenty20 internationals and three Tests.
