Sreesanth weds Rajasthan's royal in Kerala

Tainted Indian cricketer Shantakumaran Sreesanth exchanged wedding vows with Bhuwneswari Kumari, who hails from a royal family in Rajasthan, at a simple ceremony at the famous Sri Krishna temple in Guruvayur, Kerala, on Thursday.

Sreesanth tied the sacred thali (mangalsutra) around his bride Bhuwneswari's, alias Nayan, neck at 0745 am at the temple after which Tulsi and flower garlands were exchanged by bride and groom.

The ceremony was attended by close relatives only.

The bride, a jewellery designer, and Sreesanth have known each for the last six years.

A reception will be held later in the evening at Kochi.

Former India pacer Sreesanth fell from grace after he was arrested on IPL spot-fixing charges in May this year and is now out on bail.

The temperamental cricketer was banned for life from playing cricket by the Board of Control for Cricket in India following his alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal that broke out during the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League.

Sreesanth was a member of Rajasthan Royals (RR) when he was arrested along with two of his teammates.
