Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has rated South African paceman Dale Steynand England seamer Stuart Broad as the toughest bowlers he faced in his Test career.
The 34-year-old, who is playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing Indian Premier League ( IPL), hailed Steyn for his extreme fitness and late swing , while admitting that he finds Broad very challenging on any surface.
Insisting that Steyn has got an incredible energy, Watson said the latter swings the ball very late, thus not giving any chance to hit the ball.
And unsurprisingly, the bowler who dismissed him the most times (8) in Test cricket, and an Ashes nemesis to boot, ranked high on the allrounder's list of toughest bowlers he faced.
Talking about Broad, Watson insisted that the England's fast bowler is very accurate and also holds the ability to take the game in his side's favour.
Watson said he could recall three games (Ashes Tests) when the match was in balance and Broad had ripped the heart out of them.
