Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has turned a year older.
The Master Blaster turned 44 on Monday and wishes poured in for him on social media.
Most of the cricketing fraternity wished the little master on his special day.
The birthday greetings were led by current Indian team head coach Anil Kumble.
The former Indian leg spinner wrote: "#HappyBirthdaySachin. One of the most inspiring sportsmen the world has seen. Hope you have a splendid year ahead @sachin_rt."
A former teammate of Sachin, Mohammad Kaif tweeted, "Happy B'day to a man who has touched an emotional chord with a billion people, a part of our lives forever, @sachin_rt#HappyBirthdaySachin."
The International Cricket Council (ICC) also wished the highest run-getter in cricketing history and tweeted, "Most Test runs ever ??Most ODI runs ever ??Legend of the game ??Happy Birthday to the Little Master, @sachin_rt!"
India off-spinner R Ashwin quipped that April 24 could well be declared the 'Indian Cricket Day'.
"Many more happy returns of the day @sachin_rt , April 24th should be marked as Indian cricket day. I was lucky to have played along side you," he tweeted.
Out of favour India opener and Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir wrote: "@sachin_rt may God Almighty continue to smile on you. A very happy birthday paaji, have a blast. #HappyBirthdaySachin"
"Happy birthday paaji @sachin_rt lots of love and best wishes khush raho tandrust raho (be happy, be well)..we love you," Harbhajan Singh wrote on his twitter handle.
"Special day, special person and special celebration. May all your dreams and desires come true.Happy birthday Sachin @sachin_rt," is what India pacer Umesh Yadav wrote in his congratulatory message.
There were also wishes from opponents in his playing days, starting with former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist, who wrote on his Twitter handle: "Happy birthday @sachin_rt and @bowlologist."
Former Australian skipper Michael Clarke, who is in India as part of the Indian Premier League commentary team, also took some time to wish the Rajya Sabha MP, "Happy bday to the great @sachin_rt, 44 years young today. Hope you have a great day and year to come mate!"
Virender Sehwag, in his usual quirky style wished the master by sharing a throwback photo with alongside a funny message, "A rare occasion when one could have committed a crime,God ji sleeping. To a man who could stop time in India, #HappyBirthdaySachin @sachin_rt."
Tendulkar is the leading run-scorer in Tests and ODIs. He is the only cricketer to have hit 100 international centuries, and the first to score a double century in ODIs.
The Mumbaikar received India's highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 2014. He is the youngest recipient to date and the first ever sportsperson to receive the award. (ANI)
