The fourth day's play in the second cricket Test between India and South Africa was called off without a ball being bowled following rain and wet ground conditions, in Bengaluru, on Tuesday.

With play washed out on the second and third day of the Test as well, the M Chinnaswamy stadium has witnessed just 81 overs, which were possible on the opening day.

India were 80 for no loss in response to the visitors’ score of 214 all out in the first innings at the end of Day 1.

Shikhar Dhawan (45) and Murali Vijay (28) will resume India's first innings should play resume on Day 5 of the match.
