With heavy rain lashing the state, the second day's play between Gujarat and Tamil Nadu in the Elite Ranji Trophy league in Tirunelveli was abandoned on Thursday without a ball being bowled.
After two inspections, umpires Alok Bhattacharya (Kolkata) and Balwant Sharma (Rajasthan) called off play at 1600 hours.
The opening day's play was also affected by rain.
Winning the toss, Gujarat were 110 for 4 after 56 of the 90 overs stipulated for the day.
