Tripura posted a massive 441 in their first innings and then reduced Himachal Pradesh to 111 for five to give the visitors an overwhelming upper hand on the second day of their Group C Ranji Trophy match in Nandaun on Sunday.
Having started the day on 325 for four, Tripura eventually folded for 440-plus runs. In reply, HP were struggling when stumps were drawn with Aatish Bhalaik unbeaten on 28 and Rishi Dhawan batting on 16.
Although Tripura's overnight batsmen -- Ajay Ratra and Abhijit Dey -- fell early on the day, Manisankar Murasingh (29), Tushar Saha (28) and Rana Dutta (20) chipped in valuable runs to take the team's total past 400-run mark.
While Ratra, after resuming on 55, could add just one more run to his overnight score, getting dismissed for 101-ball 56, Dey added 19 runs to his overnight total before he fell for 45.
On Saturday, Subhrajit Roy had slammed an aggressive 111, while S Abbas Ali hit 83.
For HP, Rishi Dhawan finished with four for 114.
HP got off to a poor start in their first innings as Murasingh dismissed both the openers -- Aakash Chopra (1) and Prashant Chopra (6) -- in consecutive overs.
Though Varun Sharma (24) and Paras Dogra (23) managed to steady the boat for a while, Rana Dutta struck hard to dismiss the latter and then added new batsman, Amit Kumar's wicket to his kitty in the same over to leave the hosts reeling at 49 for four.
Varun was the last man to get out on the day on Sunday with Sanjay Majumder taking his wicket.

Rassol 7-wicket haul gives J&K command over Assam
Off-spinner Parvez Rassol spun a web around Assam batsmen with a sensational seven-wicket haul to put Jammu and Kashmir in the drivers' seat on the second day of their Ranji Trophy group league match in Guwahati on Sunday.
Rassol returned with figures of 23-9-41-7 to trigger Assam's batting collapse as J&K shot the home side out for just 165 from 64.3 overs in their first innings in reply to the visitor's 323 all out at the Nehru Stadium.
J&K took a vital 158-run first innings lead. They ended the day at one for no loss in their second essay, stretching their overall lead to 159 with all the 10 second innings wickets intact.
For Assam, only captain and opener Dheeraj Jadhav put up a semblance of fight with a stoic 150-ball 69 before he became Rassol's second victim and third of his team.
Jadhav put on 55 runs with Pallavkumar Das (28) for the opening wicket before stitching another 60 runs for the third wicket with Sibsankar Roy (25).
But, once Jadhav was out, Assam folded their innings in quick time with seven wickets falling for the addition of just 39 runs with Rassol claiming five of them.
Earlier, resuming at overnight 240 for seven, Jammu and Kashmir were all out for 323 with Obaid Haroon (52) completing his half century.
He added 17 runs to yesterday's 35 while the other overnight batsman Waseem Raza added 28 runs on Sunday to contribute 40 runs to his team total.
For Assam, Arup Das took two more wickets on Sunday to end with innings figures of six wickets for 87.

Shivkumar scores ton to steer Andhra to 393 v Goa
Duvvarapu Shivkumar scored an unbeaten ton and veteran Amol Muzumdar hit a half-century to steer Andhra Pradesh to 393 in their first innings against Goa on the second day of their Group C Ranji Trophy tie in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
The hosts then reduced Goa to 72 for one at stumps.
After resuming on 240 for five, Muzumdar, starting on 56, and Shivkumar on 12, gave an ideal start to their team.
Shivkumar and Muzumdar shared a valuable 124-run partnership for the sixth wicket to take their team past 300-run mark.
Muzumdar added 32 runs to his overnight score before he got out for 88 off 186 balls, laced with 11 hits to the fence.
After Muzumdar's dismissal, Shivkumar continued to play his shots in the company of the tailenders.
Shaik Basha (10) and T Vamsi Krishna (16) sustained for a while, but soon Shivkumar ran out of partners to remain stranded at 195-ball 106, studded with 12 fours and a six.
Replying to Andhra's huge first innings score, Goa lost the wicket of Swapnil Asnodkar (13).
At stumps, Sagun Kamat was batting on 41, while giving him company at the other end was AS Desai on 12.

Jagadeesh misses double ton, takes Kerala to 314
Opener VA Jagadeesh was left stranded on 199 as Kerela scored 314 against Services in their Ranji Trophy Group C match, in New Delhi on Sunday.
Jagdeesh began the day at 126 and fell short of partners. None of the other Kerala batsman could score even a fifty as Akshat Kodoth was the next best batsman with a score of 32.
In reply, Services were 84 for two at stumps on day two.
Soumik Chatterjee (27) and Soumya Swain (30) were at the crease for Services.
Jagadeesh's knock came off 384 balls with the help of 19 fours and a six.
