With only two days to go for the 2nd Test against Australia, the Indian cricket team attended an optional practice session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday.
India suffered a bolt from the blue (Baggy Green is more like it) after being pummelled in the first Test inside three days on a dust bowl in Pune on Sunday.
The hosts will look to bounce back and level the series in Bengaluru, and knowing that India have fought back in series before (that historic 2001 Test series is still fresh in our minds), it's only imperative that they practice with intent heading into the 2nd Test.
And with that very thought in mind, some members of Team India took the field to get some training before the big day.
Captain Virat Kohli, his deputy Ajinkya Rahane and Karun Nair were among those were batting in the nets.
Nair looked in the groove as he got some batting practice against Ishant Sharma and other local net bowlers.
R Ashwin also rolled his arm.
Other players including KL Rahul were seen involved in some fielding drills and some catching and throwing practice.
With the 2nd Test just under two days away, it will be interesting to see the plans India adopts to outplay Steve Smith & Co.
