July 02, 2003 09:28 IST

The Pakistan Cricket Board has proposed to India that the two countries play a 'friendship series' of two one-day Internationals later this year.

PCB Chairman Tauqir Zia told a news conference on Tuesday that the proposal had been sent to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

"We have proposed that India first come to Pakistan to play the first one-day International of the friendship series in September," said Zia. "Pakistan will than find a slot and visit India in October to play the second match."
