In an attempt to honour swashbuckling batsman AB de Villiers, the Northern Cricket Union has named a suite after him at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Jacques Faul, who is the chief executive of The Unlimited Titans, said that De Villiers is a gifted layer whose contributions on and off the field from junior Northern schools cricket to senior representative phases for the Titans and South Africa had endeared him to thousands of cricket fans at SuperSport Park, other domestic grounds and internationally, Sport24 reported.
Reflecting on the South African captain's talent, Faul further said that the gesture of naming a suite after him was well-deserved and an apt salute to a living legend, the report added.
Faul added that AB is an inspirational captain who leads from the front and his humility, graciousness and selflessness and his humanity have made him one of South Africa's most beloved players
De Villiers has recently become the batsman to score the fastest century in One-day Internationals as he hit a century off just 31 deliveries against West Indies.
