It is no news that India's cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a recluse. It was quite evident the way he announced his Test cricket retirement.

Dhoni quit Tests 'to concentrate on ODI and T20 formats', says BCCI

But Mrs Dhoni likes to speak her mind. It was all thanks to her tweet that their new born baby daughter’s name was revealed. Sakshi Dhoni tweeted, “Welcome to the world beautiful Ziva! Mumma and Daddy adore you! Thanks for all of the well wishes!”

Ziva in Hebrew means radiance, brilliance and brightness.

She shared the news and thanked her followers for the good wishes.

Dhoni's wife gave birth to their first child on Friday last and while he was delighted by the arrival of his daughter, he was totally focussed on the World Cup.

Sakshi gave birth at a private hospital in Gurgaon and asked if he would have rather preferred to stay in India in recent days, he responded in the negative.

"Not really. I have been blessed with a baby daughter. Mum and daughter both are good," he said at a pre-World Cup media briefing on Saturday.

"But (the) World Cup is a very important campaign, and everything can wait as of now."
