Former Australia Test cricketer and post-war sporting great Keith Miller will have a funeral in Melbourne on October 20, Victoria Premier Steve Bracks said on Wednesday.

"Keith Miller was one of the greatest sportsmen our state has produced," Bracks said of Miller, who played for Victoria before later captaining New South Wales.
"I'm sure many Victorians will want to join together in celebrating his life," Bracks added in a statement.
"Whether representing his country on the sporting field, or as a fighter pilot in World War Two, he always displayed outstanding character and humanity."
