MI physio gets suspended penalty for misconduct

Mumbai Indians physio Patrick Farhat was handed a suspended fine of $10,000 by the Indian Premier League disciplinary committee for offence of misconduct during an earlier match of the on going T20 extravaganza.

According to a media release, the IPL Disciplinary Committee comprising of chairman Chirayu Amin and governing council member Ravi Shastri decided that the financial penalty is suspended for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

The punishment was handed out due to an incident of misconduct near dug-out during Mumbai Indians' match against Delhi Daredevils at the Wankhede Stadium on May 7.
