Manoj Prabhakar, the man who famously blew the lid off the match-fixing scandal in cricket before himself getting embroiled in it, continues to be dogged by controversy with his estranged wife today accusing him of "torturing" her "in collusion with a failed Bollywood actress".
Already serving a five-year ban following match-fixing allegations and facing a possible prosecution for fraud, the former India all-rounder finds himself in fresh trouble with Sandhya Prabhakar, who married the cricketer in 1986, alleging that her husband had moved in with the "failed actress" in a flat in Faridabad.
Sandhya also charged Manoj with cheating her and illegally removing her from the post of co-director of the company which the two of them had set up.
Sandhya, who
had filed a case of harassment against her husband and the actress in the women's cell of Delhi Police last year, said she had been "paying for the sins of Manoj Prabhakar" for long and had decided to "expose him" now.
