West Indies’ Marlon Samuels struck an unbeaten 85 and then watched from the other end as Carlos Brathwaite blasted four successive sixes in Ben Stokes' final over to power West Indies to a second World Twenty20 title.
And while the miraculous turn-of-events was taking place at a packed EdenGardens in Kolkata, one cricketing legend was over the moon at a television studio in neighbouring Pakistan.
West Indies’ batting great Brian Lara, who was part a panel of experts on PTV, was coaxed into doing the now famous ‘Champion’ dance move, made famous by Windies players Darren Bravo, Chris Gayle and Darren Sammy.
In a video that has gone viral, the host of the program, Nauman Niaz, asks Lara to perform the dance move. The batting legend sportingly acknowledges the request and did the jig with a wide grin.
Also celebrating the WT20 victory was Olympic champion Usain Bolt.
Celebrating from his home back in Jamaica, Bolt did his own hilarious version of the dance while singing along.
Nothing can beat the Carribean boys when it comes to celebrations!
