On Monday, it was the turn of Virat Kohli, India’s latest batting sensation, to meet the Swiss tennis legend.
"A Day i'll never forget. Greatness on and off the court. @rogerfederer Absolute legend," Kohli tweeted, after meeting Federer, a winner of a staggering 17 Grand Slams.
India’s Test cricket team’s new captain also posted a picture of him with Federer.
Kohli is just coming off a highly successful Test series against Australia Down Under where he amassed nearly 700 runs in four matches, while the Swiss ace triumphed in the Brisbane Open, achieving a landmark 1000th ATP victory in the process.
It was not just Kohli, but the Australians too who seemed to be in awe of Federer.
Steven Smith, Man of the Series in the just-concluded four-match rubber against India, also got photographed with Federer.
"It was an absolute honour to meet my favourite athlete of all time tonight. Thanks @rogerfederer and best of luck in the Australian open," Smith, who led Australia after the first Test following an injury to Michael Clarke, wrote on his Twitter handle.
"Thanks Lleyton and @rogerfederer. 2 great guys and amazing athletes. #fast4," Smith said.
Even all-rounder David Warner was photographed alongside Federer.
