Former India captain Kapil Dev on Tuesday filed an affidavit in the Delhi High Court claiming that ill-treatment is being meted out by the Board of Control for Cricket in India to players who have joined the rebel ICL.

In the affidavit, chairman of the ICL Executive Board Kapil said that the players' pension and other post-retirement benefits have also been stopped by the BCCI.

The affidavit has been filed in support of the ICL's petition seeking a restraint order against BCCI from allegedly intimidating players from joining ICL.

With a view to protecting the players' interest in the fight between two "giants" involving BCCI and the Essel Group-promoted ICL, the court had in August last year had restrained the public sector corporations to take any punitive action against its employee, registered with BCCI, from joining the ICL.
