Kapil Dev bowls to British PM Cameron

British Prime Minister David Cameron on Thursday showed his dexterity with the cricket bat as he played out a few deliveries bowled to him by the legendary Kapil Dev.

Kapil, India's only World Cup-wining captain, sent down a few balls to the British premier when he visited the National stadium on his tour of the Commonwealth Games venues.

The National stadium, which hosted the hockey World Cup early this year, will stage the CWG hockey event too.

Cameron had words of appreciation for the renovated facility and also wished the organisers success for the Games.

Apart from Kapil, spin legend Bishan Singh Bedi, legendary 400 metres runner Milkha Singh and sprint queen P T Usha were also part of the delegation invited on the occasion.

The British delegation included Sebastian Coe, head of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, Kelly Holmes, president of Commonwealth Games England, Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave and Richard Scudamore, Chief Executive of the English Premier League.
