- 6: Number of consecutive Twenty20 Internationals won by India against Australia. Llongest winning streak for any side against a major team (England also won six on the trot against New Zealand between 2008 and 2013).
- 6: Number of Player of the Match awards Virat has won in Twenty20 Internationals in 2016. The most by any player in a calendar year (and we are just in to March!). Shane Watson won five MOM awards in 2012.
- 122.83: Virat's average in successful chases in Twenty20 Internationals -- easily the best for any batsman.
- 18: Number of wickets taken by Jasprit Bumrah in Twenty20 Internationals. Each of them has been a different batsman!
- 0: Number of wides or no ball Yuvraj Singh bowled in a World T20 game before Sunday's match. He bowled three illegitimate balls (two wides and one no ball) against Australia in Mohali.
- 4: Number of consecutive fifties Virat has scored against Australia in Twenty20 Internationals. He made 90 not out at Adelaide, 59 not out at Melbourne, 50 at Sydney and 82 not out at Mohali -- all in 2016. This is the longest streak of fifty-plus scores for a batsman against any opponent in Twenty20 Internationals.
- 401: Runs scored by Virat against Australia in Twenty20 Internationals. The second most for a batsman against a specific team after Martin Guptill's 424 against South Africa.
- 918: Runs scored by Virat in chases in Twenty20 Internationals. Only New Zealand's Brendon McCullum has scored more runs (1,006) than Virat in chases. McCullum took 38 innings to score these runs as against Virat's 19.
- 3: Number of times India has reached a semi-final at the World Twenty20 championships. The previous such instances were in 2007 and 2014. On both occasions India went on to play the final.
