Ravindra Jadeja has been accused of violating wildlife rules after the Indian all-rounder clicked pictures in front of a lion pride at the Sasan Gir forest in Gujarat.
The Gujarat Forest Department on Thursday ordered an inquiry after pictures were posted on social media websites.
Jadeja and his wife Riva were seen posing in front of lions.
Jadeja, a native of Jamnagar district in Saurashtra region of Gujarat, was at Sasan Gir in Junagadh district on Tuesday and Wednesday. The all-rounder also clicked pictures with forest guards and fans during the visit.
It is not new for Jadeja to get into uncalled for controversies.
A row had broken out on his wedding day on April 17, when, during the marriage procession, a reveler had opened celebratory firing in the air, prompting the police to launch an inquiry.
Jadeja married Gujarat-based mechanical engineer Riva Solanki on April 17 in a private ceremony in Rajkot.
