Sourav Ganguly was not present, but, interestingly, controversial Indian Premier League COO Sundar Raman attended the meeting along with Rajeev Shukla, Anurag Thakur and Aniruddh Chaudhary.
While Mysore termed it as a "brainstorming session", Shukla said some ideas were exchanged.
About Kumble, who is a key member of Mumbai Indians' support staff, Shukla said, "Anil Kumble was present in personal capacity as a player and not as a Mumbai Indians representative. We wanted a few ideas from Anil.
"As we are talking to all franchises, similarly we met KKR today. We can't divulge the details of the meeting but ideas were exchanged," Shukla said.
BCCI secretary Thakur said the working group may complete their work before six weeks.
"As we have been allotted six weeks, we have lined up a lot of meetings over the next few days. Hopefully, we might complete our work before six weeks," Thakur said before he and IPL chairman Shukla left in the same car.
There was no clarity on how Raman, who is not a part of the committee, attended the meeting.
"Get a life you guys," Raman told three scribes who bumped into him at the hotel.
