South African batsman J P Duminy is a doubtful starter for Deccan Chargers against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their Indian Premier League match in Bangalore on Sunday, coach Darren Lehman has said.
Lehman said his side might be languishing at the bottom of the points table, but they would leave no stone unturned to pocket some wins in the tournament.
"We would like to field the best combination in tomorrow's match depending on the nature of the pitch. Daniel Christian had done well for us in the last game against Chennai Super Kings. It depends which way we go."
The former Australian cricketer further said that Deccan would be making some changes in the batting order for tomorrow's game looking keeping in mind the pacy and bouncy pitch on offer.
"I have seen the pitch. It looks fast. Pace and bounce in it is normal. It is a good wicket as expected," Lehman said.
Lehman expects Dale Steyn to continue his excellent performance against RCB as well.
"Dale has been excellent for us. He is excited to bowl. We need him to bowl really well," he said.
Lehman not only expects Indian players to shine, but also overseas players to win matches for the struggling outfit.
"It is not about Indian players performing, but overseas players also should chip in. The team as a whole should perform," he said.
