Sunrisers Hyderabad left-arm pacer Barinder Sran was fined 10 per cent of his match fee for inappropriate behaviour during their Indian Premier League match against Mumbai Indians, in Hyderabad, on Monday night.

The bowler's conduct was deemed contrary to the spirit of the game by the match referee.

He admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction.

For all Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding.

Hit for two fours by Mumbai Indians opener Parthiv Patel, Sran sent down a slower one, which Patel missed and found his stumps disturbed.

The tall left-arm bowler celebrated by showing Patel the dressing room.

Sunrisers Hyderabad went on to beat Mumbai Indians by seven wickets, with 17 balls to spare, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and registered their first victory in Season 9.
