India pacer S Sreesanth has been ruled out of action for five months due to injuries on his toes that will require two surgeries.
"Got to get 2 surgery (on both my toes) will be out of the game for 5 months..hopefully will try to get back soon..
Take care..thanks a lot," Sreesanth wrote on his Twitter page.
The temperamental bowler last played for India in the Test series in England last summer, and played only one first-class match before sustaining the toe injuries.
Sreesanth, who had preferred ayurvedic treatment instead of going for a surgery in December, had originally hoped to be fit in time for the CB series in Australia earlier this year.
Rajasthan Royals will have to do without the fast bowler this Indian Premier League season.
