Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf has been ruled out of the Test series against South Africa in the UAE with a groin injury and will return home, the team manager said on Friday.
"He has got medical advice and been told to rest the injury for some 10 days which puts him out of contention for the second Test as well," Pakistan manager, Intikhab Alam said.
"He will return home soon and take rest to prepare for the tour to New Zealand next month."
Yousuf, 36, pulled out of the first Test that started on Friday in Dubai after sustaining the injury during training.
The second Test begins on November 20 in Abu Dhabi.Mohammad Yousuf: A class apart
