A lot of former players and cricket pundits have predicted India as potential favourites to win the ICC World T20, scheduled to be held in India from March 2016.
World T20 2016: India and Pakistan in same group
Virat Kohli, who led the Test team to a comfortable 3-0 series win over South Africa earlier this month, however, insists that India will have no home advantage as the other teams in the competition are familiar with local conditions.
The 27-year-old admitted that playing in home conditions is not a big home advantage anymore, thanks in no measure to the annual Indian Premier League.
Kohli insists that any team can be a favourite to lift the coveted trophy in the fast-paced T20 format.
India, beaten finalists in the last edition in Bangladesh (2014), will open its campaign against New Zealand in Nagpur on March 15.
They face arch rivals Pakistan in Dharamsala next.
