With India looking to seal another win against struggling Australians in the third Test beginning in Mohali on Thursday, the Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy sky on the opening day with possibility of light rain.
"Generally cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development/light rain. The maximum temperature on Thursday will be around 28 degrees Celsius," the MeT said in its forecast.
Both the teams would be hoping that weather holds good and does not play spoilsport.
While a win will give India a series win, the Aussies are desperate for a win as they are trailing 0-2 in the four-match Test rubber.
While it was bright and sunny on Wednesday with maximum temperature settling at 31.2 degrees Celsius, cool breeze brought the temperature down late in the evening.
