Sri Lanka trained hard for the second One-day International (ODI) against India to be held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
After losing the first ODI by a huge margin of 169 runs in Cuttack, the Sri Lankan squad arrived at the stadium around 4 pm and engaged in routine pre-match warm up and practice session till late evening.
Chasing 364 for a win, Sri Lanka were shot out for 194 in 39.2 overs and their captain Agnelo Mathews did not hide his disappointment after trailing the five-match series.
The Lankan skipper further said they always knew India would be a tough opposition at home.
Pleased with his fast bowlers show in the 169-runs win, skipper Virat Kohi said that it augurs well for the tours to Australia and New Zealand.
