Kolkata Knight Riders were buoyed by the presence of their principal co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, who was seen rooting for the at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, on Wednesday night.

The Bollywood star owner has rarely been present during KKR’s outing in the current season save the opening game against Gujarat Lions at Rajkot, last month.

 

“Shah Rukh came for the opening game in Rajkot and we had a really good result in that match (won by 10 wickets),” Venky Mysore had said earlier.

 

It turned out to be a happy outing for ‘King Khan’,  as the two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday defeated title holders Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets via Duckworth-Lewis method in a rain-truncated Indian Premier League Eliminator to set up a meeting against Mumbai Indians in Friday's Qualifier 2.
