Former Australia skipper Allan Border has warned Michael Clarke's men not to choke under home pressure, saying that players should instead embrace the expectation of home crowd in the upcoming World Cup, which starts from Saturday.

Reflecting on home crowd expectation, the 1987 World Cup-winning skipper said that one could look at it as a double-edged sword as they have got the crowd support yet the crowd expectation is that they are going to win, News.com.au reported.

However, Border said that his advice would be to embrace the fact of playing in front of a home crowd.

Backing the Australian World Cup squad, Border further said that crowd support would make a difference in those tight games as it would help them.

Australia will open their World Cup campaign against England on Saturday in Melbourne.
