The International Cricket Council reserved its reaction on the conviction of Pakistani cricketers Salman Butt and Mohammed Asif on spot-fixing charges till the jury decides on the fourth accusation of latter's acceptance of corrupt payments.

The 12-man jury at the Southwark Crown Court found Butt guilty of conspiracy to accept corrupt payments and conspiracy to cheat, while Asif was convicted of the charge of conspiracy to cheat.

On whether Asif accepted corrupt payment or not, the jury returned a hung verdict. The judge has asked the jury to go back into deliberation to decide on the fourth charge.

"We will make a statement only after the court has announced its verdict on the fourth charge," an ICC sposkesman said.

The court decision came on the 20th day of the trial and after 16 hours of deliberation by the jury.

But the Pakistani cricketers will remain out on bail till the quantum of their punishment is decided in a couple of days.
