The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) expressed disappointment over the non-inclusion of left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha in the 15-member Indian team for the ICC Cricket World Cup starting next month.
Tamil Nadu off-spinner spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who is also a useful batsman, and leg-spinner Piyush Chawla were favoured over Ojha in the squad announced by the BCCI secretary N Srinivasan after a meeting of the selection committee in Chennai.
"President, secretary and members of Hyderabad Cricket Association express their disappointment at the non-selection of Pragyan Ojha in the Indian team for the ICC World Cup 2011," said HCA secretary D S Chalapathi said in a statement.
The 24-year-old Ojha has played 16 ODIs for India so far and has claimed 20 wickets. He also represented the country in eight Test matches and picked up 30 wickets.
