Andrew Hall by taking 433 minutes to reach three figure-mark in the first Test against India at Kanpur on Sunday recorded the second slowest Test hundred by a South African.
Jackie McGlew had taken 545 minutes to complete his century against Australia in 1957-58, which still remains the slowest ever hundred by a South African.
