Ganesh Chaturthi is undoubtedly Mumbai’s favourite festival!

The city wears a lively look during the 10-day festivities as Hindus welcome Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of obstacles, to their homes.

The festivities, which kicked-off on Thursday, will go on till September 27.

Former Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh welcomed Lord Ganesha at his home and was later seen at Bollywood star Salman Khan's home for the festival.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was one of the first celebrities to wish his followers on social media.

The iconic star added spark to the celebration by posting a picture of him with his wife Anjali, son Arjun and daughter Sara in front of the elephant god.

The family visited Mumbai's biggest Lord Ganesha pandal, Lalbaugcha Raja.

Team India’s 'Mr Dependable' Ajinkya Rahane also tweeted: "Ganesh Chaturthi Chya Sarvanna Hardhik Subhechya. GANPATI BAPPA MORYA!!!”

Suresh Raina, who is in Bangalore and playing in the India ‘A’ series against Bangladesh ‘A’ as a tune-up for the big battle against South Africa, wished his followers, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to every one.”
