The second Test between India and England will be held in Mumbai as per schedule, Mumbai Cricket Associaton officials confirmed on Monday.

There were doubts over Mumbai hosting the match at the Wankhede stadium after Shiva Sena supremo Bal Thackeray's death  in Mumbai on Saturday, but MCA president Ravi Savant does not foresee any problems with staging the five-day match, starting Friday, November 23.

"The Test match will take place in Mumbai as per schedule," Savant told rediff.com.

He also added that there is no discussion regarding shifting the match.

"No discussions at all. We are confident that the match will take place without any problems," he added.

India crushed England nine wickets in the first Test in Ahmedabad to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.

Lakhs of followers poured on the streets for Thackeray's funeral in Mumbai, while the city was virtually shut down for nearly two days.
