Samit Dravid looks set to follow in the footsteps of his famous father, Rahul.
The 10-year-old stroked a century in an Under-14 cricket match, in Bengaluru, on Wednesday.
Representing Bangalore United Cricket Club (BUCC), which his father serves as president, he scored 125, which was laced with 22 boundaries and a six.
His team-mate Pratyush hit an unbeaten 143, as BUCC 'A' registered crushing 246-run victory over Frank Anthony Public School in the Tiger Cup cricket tournament.
After piling up a mammoth 326 for 5 in 30 overs, BUCC dismissed FAPS for a paltry 80 in 27 overs, Harsh and Anirudh picking three wickets each for the winners.
Brief scores: U-14: BUCC ‘A’: 326/5 in 30 overs (Samit Dravid 125, Pratyush 143 n.o.; Rowan 3-32) bt FAPS: 80 all out in 27 overs (Jithen 2-19, Anirudh 3-3, Yash Nerakhar 2-4, Harsh 3-7).
Linking drought to IPL will trivialise it, says Dravid
