Dashing Indian wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni jumped one spot to occupy the third place in the LG ICC ODI player rankings.
Dhoni, who blazed a 20-ball 40 against West Indies in Vadodara, has 762 points and has Mike Hussey (848) and Kevin Pietersen (778) above him in the latest points table.
Dhoni's rise came at the expense of Australian skipper Ricky Ponting who dropped one spot to be at fourth place.
There are three other Indian batsmen in the top-20 list -- Rahul Dravid at 12th, Sachin Tendulkar at 18th while Yuvraj Singh occupies 20th spot.
The big mover in the batsmen's list was Andrew Symonds who gained two rungs to be at joint fifth position along with Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara. Hard-hitting Australian Adam Gilchrist fell two spots at seventh place.
In the bowling department, no Indian finds a place in the top-10 position. Harbhajan Singh is at 13th followed by Ajit Agarkar at 17th and Irfan Pathan, who gained two places, occupies 20th position.
Shaun Pollock continued his domination at the top of bowlers list. Glenn McGrath and Daniel Vettori maintained their second and third position respectively. Brett Lee and Makhaya Nitini follow them at fourth and fifth places.
Pollock also held his top spot in the all-rounders list while Chris Gayle was in the second spot. Veteran Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka gained one spot to be at third place in the list, at the expense of England's Andrew Flintoff. Symonds maintaned his fifth spot in the table.
India, with 108 points, finds itself in the sixth spot in team rankings behind New Zealand(110) and Sri Lanka (109). Australia leads the list with 133 points, followed by South Africa (126) and Pakistan (112).
