Australian cricket legends and former teammates Dennis Lillee and Greg Chappell will be seen in opposite dug-outs when they coach two different teams in an All-Star Twenty20 match in Brisbane on November 22.

"Dennis Lillee will coach the Johnnie Walker Australian Cricketers Association All Stars against long time Australian captain, former teammate and fellow legend Greg Chappell when they take on an Australian XI in the All-Star Twenty20 match in Brisbane on November 22," Cricket Australia said in a statement.

Both Lillee and Chappell retired in the same match and on the same day. Lillee said he is looking forward to not only leading the ACA All-Stars, but also to taking on Chappell.

"When I first heard that Greg Chappell was coaching the Australian XI against the ACA All-Stars, I thought it was an ambush as Greg has had coaching experience in both Australia and India and now at the Centre of Excellence," said Lillee, who is now president of the WACA.

Chappell shared similar sentiments about being asked to coach the Australian XI and is looking forward to being up against his former teammate.

"It will be my first time coaching against Dennis Lillee which will be enjoyable and I hope he's improved his vocabulary since I last played against him!" Chappell said.

"It was always good fun playing with and against Dennis and I'm looking forward to this opportunity to get one back against him. He's a great competitor and I have no doubt he will do a good job with the ACA All-Star side," he added.

The ACA All-Star team would include retired legends like Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden and Glenn McGrath.

The final line-up of the two teams is yet to be announced.
