Explosive all-rounder Daniel Christian became only the second aboriginal player to get a national call after he was named in Australia's squad for the two Twenty20 Internationals against the West Indies.
Christian joined former pacer Jason Gillespie on the list after being included in Australia 14-member squad for the two games, in Hobart on Sunday and Sydney on February 23.
Christian, who was rewarded for his form in both Twenty20 and one-day cricket on the domestic circuit, is the only new face in the squad that defeated Pakistan at the MCG earlier this month.
The squad will be led by Michael Clarke and has the pace trio of Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait and Dirk Nannes.
"We have added Dan Christian to the squad as we continue to look at various options and the balance of the team leading into the ICC World Twenty20," Cricket Australia National Selection Panel chairman Andrew Hilditch said.
"Dan has been selected on the back of a successful KFC Twenty20 Big Bash campaign for South Australia and continued good form recently. We see Dan as an explosive all-rounder who could have a good impact for us in Twenty20 internationals," he said.
Squad: Michael Clarke (capt), Cameron White (vice-capt), Travis Birt, Daniel Christian, Brad Haddin (wk), Ryan Harris, David Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Marsh, Dirk Nannes Steven Smith, Shaun Tait, David Warner, Shane Watson.
