Jagmohan Dalmiya took over as chief of the Asian Cricket Council at its Annual General Meeting in London on Thursday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India president replaces Bangladesh Cricket Board president Mohammed Ali Asghar, who completed his two-year term.

"Yes I have taken over as the ACC president," Dalmiya told PTI on Thursday.

As per the rotation policy for the post, it was the turn of India. Dalmiya will hold the post for two years.

In September, Dalmiya will complete a three-year term as the president of the BCCI.
