Bravo is currently the Most Valuable Player

It's hardly a surprise that players from the teams reaching the semi-finals have grabbed most of the places in the list of the 50 most valuable players of the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 at this stage.

The top twenty includes only three players who won't play the semi-finals: Yuvraj Singh (8), Kevin Pietersen (12) and Brendon McCullum (17).

Dwayne Bravo is currently the most valuable player because of his splendid all-round display. Three Pakistani bowlers figure in the top ten, suggesting that Pakistan is up there chiefly because of its bowlers.

There are almost as many Irishmen as Indians in the top 50 list; and some of India's best players like M S Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina and Ishant Sharma don't even make it to the top 50!
