Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf revealed that he has been invited by his counterpart in the Board of Control for Cricket in India to visit India and discuss cricket-related issues.

"I am really happy with the response of the International Cricket Council and other cricket boards on my appointment. Ever since I was appointed as the PCB chairman I am getting assurances of co-operation and support," said Ashraf.

"The heartening thing is the BCCI president N Srinivasan also congratulated and invited me to visit India, which is a positive sign and something I am looking forward to," he added.

The newly-appointed chief also said that he is hopeful that the cricket ties between the two arch-rivals could be resumed as the vibes from the Indian board were positive.

Apart from restoring bilateral cricketing ties with India, Ashraf said another priority would be to bring back international cricket to Pakistan.

"These are two complex problems I want to sort out and find a solution. I want to see international teams playing in Pakistan again and I will be soon be planning a strategy for this," he said.

Ashraf noted that unless international cricket starts taking place in Pakistan again, the board would not able to generate enough funds for the players and the development of the game.

"I want to see a situation where the board has a healthy relationship with the players and they are well looked after while giving their best for their country," he insisted.
